Norman Connors
December 8th, 2006
It was great to have Norman Connors at the Soiree'. It was like old home week. The Food was great - catered by Sarie and the Music was all that. DJ D' Inferno was on. Every song took you back and we danced the evening away. The vendors had very special gifts to sell and it was a night to always remember.

Lifetime Achievement Awards   December 9th, 2006
Buster Williams ... Billy Paul ...
Leon Huff ... Norman Connors ...
Robert Dickerson ... Wanda Dickerson - all received the Lifetime Achievement Arts Award. Buster was unable to attend. He and his wife was on a Cruise,  but his sisters were there. Also the "Unsung Hero Award" was given to the parents of the Honorees or in their Memory, for all their support. It was a phenomenal day. It was very spiritual, warm and memorable.

Earlier that day Horace Broughton Jr.- (who also received the Vanguard Art Award, for he and his father Horace Broughton Sr.),  did the play, "I've known Rivers" with his ensemble.

Music by Black Beans, Sankofa,  & Recording Artist, Jean Thomas. DJ Dr.Cupitt played the songs of Billy Paul, Norman Connors & Philadelphia International. It was a great day!
